Crew’s Japanese Coffee Jelly

Recipe (makes 4 servings of jelly):


  1. Mix agar powder and sugar together.

  2. Next, add the concentrate and water into the mixture and make sure that all the dry mixture is fully dissolved.

  3. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and bring to boil using low heat while stirring continuously. The mixture will start to thicken as it reaches boiling temperature.

  4. Once the mixture has come to a boil, turn off the heat and remove any scum from the mixture.

  5. Before the mixture cools, pour the mixture into a heatproof tray and let cool at room temperature for around 1-2 hours.

  6. Pop the jelly into the fridge for at least 2-3 hours.

  7. Serve chilled.
